Last Page Scribbles – Note 1

1. WATERWAYS

Someday,

I’ll bid goodbye to this land of melancholic whores

And go to a place

Where a huge tide will take me along

And I will meet new people and write new tales.

I will live a new life in a different time zone

running away from the place I call my home

to a place where I might find some love.

I will draw sketches of that mystical shore,

where white waves hit the rock and split.

I will sing a song to praise the beauty of the place

A place where heaven will fall before my eyes.

2. NIGHT BOOK

“Are you asleep?” I ask.

“No” you say.

A star was shining above,

The leaves withered around me,

And your breath was like a melody

in the still midnight.

“I could close my eyes”

“And die here in your arms” you say.

That Silent Song

The nights were dark, yet a ray of hope lit my lamp of imagination
The days were short, yet the suffering was longer in my narration
The evenings were cold, yet I craved for warmth of love after negation
My life was a wreck, my work devoid of any recognition from my friends.

I influenced from the poets of the fall who wrote sonnets on love & purity
I understood from the painters of the past who painted with intensity
I meditated on the preaching’s of the saints who practiced virtue & sanctity
My inspiration has risen, from great men whose words define their sanity.

Under the dark depths of my soul was laid, an inception of a silent song
A song, which required the sense of a loner and an art I learnt to Understand.
Take me away to a lush green forests or an open field to sing a lullaby
Where there be no human but green trees and silent valley to listen to it.

I stand there at the vertex of nature like a preacher passing all my learning’s
I stand there and wait, for the nature to applause with an embrace of cold air
The cold innocent fresh air announcing in high the joy my song brought them
I am thankful O nature, for you understood what my friends could never.

The poet in me thanks the nature for being the biggest reason for elation
The Painter in me thanks the nature for being the canvas of my revelation
The preacher in me thanks the nature for being the true source of inspiration
My soul thanks the nature for bringing a sense of comfort to its restlessness.
