Sand In My Shoes

How beautiful the earth is, when I look from here

the blue ocean stretching as far as I can see.

The million fishes in the water singing their happy song,

the golden sunset starting to spread its magic on Earth.

There are people running around me, with music plugged,

the last time I was here, i broke my leg while singing a song.

And today, the weather has been pleasant and sunny,

while I convince to finish my contract with winter in my heart.

There are two girls, holding their hands and sharing a joint,

the smoke fills the air around them, while they sit on a cliff,

One holds the hands of another, promising to fall together if they,

The love in these cliffs is magical beyond explanations.

I continue my trail, looking at the beach and the city in front,

there’a T joint and I sit by the bench, quenching my thirst

If i can just sit here, contemplate my decision, for I am lost

and I can just grow old while I still wait to decide my path.

It will soon be night, the million fishes will go to sleep together,

The sky will be dark and the sunset will be on my Instagram,

The lovers would have left, their moment belonging to horizon,

and the beautiful trail will stay here, while I follow another path.

Sand In My Shoes is also a song by Dido and is one of my favourite track.

Last Page Scribbles – Note 1

1. WATERWAYS

Someday,

I’ll bid goodbye to this land of melancholic whores

And go to a place

Where a huge tide will take me along

And I will meet new people and write new tales.

I will live a new life in a different time zone

running away from the place I call my home

to a place where I might find some love.

I will draw sketches of that mystical shore,

where white waves hit the rock and split.

I will sing a song to praise the beauty of the place

A place where heaven will fall before my eyes.

2. NIGHT BOOK

“Are you asleep?” I ask.

“No” you say.

A star was shining above,

The leaves withered around me,

And your breath was like a melody

in the still midnight.

“I could close my eyes”

“And die here in your arms” you say.

The Beach.

It’s beautiful isn’t it. To just let your salty flesh crawl against mine. To let this saltness wash the shore and carry all the half washed away footprints back into the ocean. I just want you to come crashing to me like an ocean wave and then fall upon the shells lined by the rocks like my heart lined inside my chest. I will sit by the shore and just wait for you. I want these waves to roll over me and engulf me in the magic of it’s tides.

And when you are here, I will read to you the story of my day and watch the blonde wisps of your hair riding along the late evening’s breeze at the edge of the sea. I will point to you towards the lights of the distant navy ships. I can be the sailor I always wanted to be and sail with you to the distant horizon, not to stay there but to sail back again to the shore. And in between the sands and the waves, there will be insects and crabs wrapped around your lovely feet…
